當代藝林樂集於2011年假台灣高雄市正式創團，初期演出形式以中國彈撥樂為主，在創團團長陳怡蒨與全體團員努力之下，樂團逐漸取得全新的定位，朝向結合在地新音樂與多元的表演藝術來推廣台灣文化，成立迄今已主動参與或應邀演出各大藝文盛會，定期舉辦年度展演、專題、社區推廣等各型式的演出。
樂團自成立以來，以演奏精湛、創意多元，獲得廣大觀眾喜愛；同時，樂團積極在新音樂上的創作，累積了豐富新創曲目，為發展台灣藝術不遺餘力。
在這個e化時代的今日，當代藝林樂集期望能與國際社會接軌，除了建立自我風格與創新，也計畫能與不同型式與國家的藝術相互合作成長，開創出屬於台灣的新藝術領域。

Contemporary Artists Ensemble (C.A.E.) was formally established in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan (R.O.C.) in 2011. While its initial stage, C.A.E. aimed to provide performances focused on Chinese string-plucked music. Within the efforts devoted by the charter director, Professor Chen, Yi-chien and all internal artists, the ensemble has gradually obtained a brand-new direction, which is to promote Taiwanese culture by integrating locally-composed music with diverse frames of performing arts. As of its establishment, the ensemble has spontaneously organized many periodical concerts and also has been invited to participate in various types of performances, including grand art festival, theme concerts, annual concerts and community concerts.
C.A.E. has established a reputation for the musicians’ artistic excellence and multi-dimensional creativities. In the meantime, the ensemble struggles to develop the artistic capability of Taiwan by composing more of the contemporary music, and accordingly, it has accumulated numerous productions of original music thus far.
Situated in the modern and digitalized world, C.A.E aspires to be in line with the international society by continuous innovations and building up unique characteristics. C.A.E. also plans to cooperate with crossover arts and artists from different parts of the world. For C.A.E., the ultimate mission is to exploit an exclusive territory of music for Taiwan.
